Trooping the Colour is the ceremony performed by regiments of the British and Commonwealth armies. It has been a tradition since the 17th century, and this weekend(13th/14th June) it will take place at Horse Guards parade near London’s St James’s Park. This ceremony also marks the Queens official birthday. Queen Elizabeth attended her first Trooping the Colour in 1951 while she was still a Princess; and has attended every year since.
